Vanity Fur, Seneca Hill’s full service pet salon, offers a wide variety of grooming services for cats and dogs. Whether you want to keep it simple or bring out an extravagant look, our experienced stylists can help. Our pet salon facilities are state-of-the-art. The specially designed equipment includes hydraulic lift tables and a hydro-surge bathing system with a unique “step-up-to-the-tub” stair. These special facilities are particularly helpful for seniors, but they make salon services relaxing and enjoyable for pets of all ages.

Pet Grooming Services
We are always happy to evaluate your pet to determine any needs that may require further attention and care. Since we have an AAHA-accredited full-service veterinary hospital on the premises, we can also administer sedation under a doctor’s care to groom overly aggressive pets.
Bathing always uses the finest shampoos, and special shampoos are used if needed for skin care. We rinse and repeat, follow with a cream rinse, and finish by hand blow drying to achieve that perfect look. We also offer mat removal, when needed.
We understand that middle-aged and senior pets often have age-related problems that may make grooming more difficult. At Vanity Fur, we have the experience and special equipment to make salon visits less stressful for older pets.
Our routine pet salon services include:

Health Requirements for Grooming
To keep all our salon visitors happy and healthy, each visitor must meet certain health requirements. In addition, we require that all pets, both canine and feline, be on a monthly heartworm prevention regimen and be treated with a monthly flea and tick prevention product.
Canine Health Requirements
Make sure to have a current, per the manufacturer, rabies vaccine administered at least two weeks before your salon appointment. If your dog is less than one month overdue, Seneca Hill can administer a rabies vaccine. Puppies must be vaccinated by 16 weeks, but it is not necessary to have a two-week waiting period.
A DHPP vaccine must be administered at least two weeks before your salon appointment and it must be current per your veterinarian. If your dog is less than one month overdue, Seneca Hill can administer a DHPP vaccine. Puppies must be current in their series of vaccine injections. Vaccination titers done within the past year showing protective immunity for Distemper and Parvovirus are also acceptable.
A Bordetella vaccine must be administered at least five days, but not more than six months, before your salon appointment. This also applies to puppies. If your dog is less than one month overdue, Seneca Hill can administer a Bordetella vaccine.
A fecal examination must be negative within one year of the salon appointment and must have been completed at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Feline Health Requirements
A rabies vaccine must be administered at least two weeks before your salon appointment and must be current per the manufacturer. If your cat is less than one month overdue, Seneca Hill can administer a rabies vaccine. Kittens must be vaccinated by 16 weeks, but it is not necessary to have a two-week waiting period.
An FVRCP vaccine must be administered at least two weeks before your salon appointment and be current per your veterinarian. If your cat is less than one month overdue, Seneca Hill can administer an FVRCP vaccine. Kittens must be current in their series of vaccine injections. Vaccination titers done within the past year showing protective immunity for Calicivirus, Herpesvirus, and Panleukopenia are also acceptable.
A fecal examination must be negative within one year of the salon appointment and must be completed at least 48 hours before the appointment.

Vanity Fur welcomes walk-ins. For your convenience, we recommend that you schedule an appointment in advance.
Our hours are:
Monday – Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: Closed
The Salon will call you when styling is complete and your pet is ready to be picked up.
